Obituary of Sisto Martin Rodriguez
Sisto Rodriguez, born in Salinas, Ca on September 5,1975, went to Heaven on June 16, 2022 due to complications from Covid.
He resided his entire life in Salinas. He went to La Joya Elementary School, Washington Middle School, and North Salinas High. Although he was a private person, shying away from having his picture taken or being in big crowds, he was the type of person who was always willing to give a helping hand such as taking groceries to friends in need, giving a much needed ride to friends and family, stopping to help a stranger broken down by the side of the road, and to help out whoever needed help working on their cars. He worked various jobs and he had a real talent for taking broken or rundown things and getting them to work and to shine. He enjoyed listening to music especially oldies, taking care of whatever needed fixing, and helping others. He was always appreciative and thankful when someone would do something nice for him. He was thoughtful and would give compliments on how great something turned out or if the food was delicious. He enjoyed fishing, playing darts, and being a Raider fan. He made many friends and still had friends from his childhood.
He will be missed so much.
He leaves behind his mom, Paula Avila, his sister, Veronica Santos, his brother, Michael (Lidia) Santos, godson Isaiah, nieces Selena, Jessica, Erica, and Alysandra, his nephew, Nicholas, and his children, Saundra, Alfonso, Julian, Danielle, Sabella, John, Alfonso, his grandson, Josiah, companion, Charmaine, and numerous aunts, cousins, and many friends.
He leaves this world the same way he came in--loved by his family.
His Memorial Service will be Friday, June 24th at Healey Mortuary at 12pm.
Since he was an animal person & really loved dogs, we ask that, in lieu of flowers, that a donation be made in his name to the Salinas Animal Shelter at http://www.hitchcockrdanimals.org
