Slade Michael Ferris

Slade Michael Ferris, 28, of San Diego, California passed away peacefully on Friday April 14, 2023 with his family by his side.
Slade made home anywhere he landed and enjoyed doing life his way. Slade had an infectious smile and charisma that could take over a room. He was loved and adored by anyone that he met. He lived comfortable in his own skin and loved living in Hillcrest. Slade made his living young, he dabbled in many things and enjoyed being a stay at home dad to his precious pup Darlah.
Slade was born July 14, 1994, in Zanesville, Ohio son of Tonya (Jeff Bates) Morrison and Bryce (Traci) Ferris.
In addition to his mother and father, he was survived by his partner Ariq Roth of San Diego, two siblings, Makenzie Ferris of Newark and Brayden Morrison of Zanesville; Maternal Grandfather David (Jan Nuzzo) Shields, Aunt, Wendy (Bill) Roush; Uncle Jody (Ashley) Shields, Aunt Stacy (Clay) Ross and Aunt Jody Clark all of Zanesville; cousins, Mason, Eli and Cooper Roush, Braxton and Bexley Shields, David, Austin and Garrett Ross, Jessica, Jeremy and Jordan Morgareidge and Brittany Clark. Also a host of friends that were like family from near and far.
He was preceded in death by Maternal Grandmother Linda "Mimi" Shields, Paternal Grandfather Jerry Lee Ferris, Maternal Grandmother Florence Ann Ferris (Gibson) and Uncle Jeff "Buddy" Ferris and his beloved pup Catch.
A dignified cremation will take place per Slades wishes. A private family celebration of his life will be held at a later date..
