God has called his little angel, Sofia Guadalupe Solis, back to his Heavenly garden on May 10, 2025, at the tender age of 1 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She was born on April 12, 2024 in Laredo, Texas, the daughter of Jose Emanuel Solis and Fernanda Guadalupe Gomez.
She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents: Agustin Salinas and Celia Reyes; uncle: Lauro Gomez Jr.
Surviving her are her parents: Jose Emanuel Solis and Fernanda Guadalupe Gomez; paternal grandparents: Juan Manuel Solis and Sylvia Solis, and Francisca Rivas; maternal grandparents: Raquel Salinas (Miguel Villasana) Reyes, Lauro Gomez Reyes; aunts and uncles: Lucero Salinas (Jesus Garcia), Laura Gabriela Gomez, Heriberto Solis (Alejandra), Juan Solis, Adrian Solis, as well as numerous cousins, and other relatives.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Rosary will be offered at 7 pm.
Funeral services will continue on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 7 am until the time of departure at 8:30 am to San Agustin Cathedral, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Angel Land at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Juan Solis, Heriberto Solis, Lucero Salinas, and Laura Gomez.
