Sohair Shaker Botros

Sohair Botros, born to Narges Bishara and Shaker Hanna on August 4, 1944, in Cairo, Egypt, departed peacefully surrounded by love and family on July 9, 2022 to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after a long period of suffering with severe illness.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Monier Botros, her brother, Fouad Shaker, her son Michael (Basma), and her grandchildren, Isaac, Zachary, and Eliana.
She is beloved by her extended family including her brothers-in-law, Ezzat Bebawy, the late Hosney Bebawy, George Bebawy, her sister-in-law Laila Shinoda, and their families.
She was preceded in departure to the Heavens by her dearest mother and father.
She will be remembered for her contagious smile, generosity, and delicious kahk and petits fours.
May God grant her peace and eternal joy and comfort her loved ones in their sorrow.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 13, 6-9 PM at A.J. Desmond and Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd, Troy (Between Maple and Big Beaver), 248-362-2500.
Funeral Prayer will take place on Thursday, July 14, 12 PM at St. Mary and St. Philopater Coptic Orthodox Church, 3603 Livernois Rd, Troy, MI, followed by Burial Service at White Chapel Cemetery of Troy.
