Soledad Groce Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Panama City on Jan. 2, 2026.
Soledad "Solly" Moselina Groce, 73 of Southport went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 1, 2026. She was born on March 31, 1952, in Masinloc, Zambales – Philippines.
She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, family member, and friend, whose life reflected the love of Jesus Christ in all she did. Affectionately known as "Granny" to many beyond her own grandchildren, she opened her heart and home to everyone God placed in her path. She retired from Tyndall Air Force Base after years of faithful service as a cook, serving others with joy and humility.
Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she dearly loved her church home, Victory Full Gospel Tabernacle. She found great joy in cooking for others, and no gathering was ever complete without her cherished pancit or lumpia-meals prepared with love and shared as an extension of her ministry. She also delighted in God's creation, spending time planting flowers, tending her garden, growing fresh fruits and vegetables, fishing, and caring for those around her. She lived selflessly, always placing the needs of others before her own.
She faithfully supported and attended her grandchildren's school and sporting events, offering encouragement, prayer, and unwavering love. Though miles apart, she remained deeply connected to her family in the Philippines, lifting them up continually in prayer and holding them close in her heart.
Most importantly, she was a woman of prayer who taught her family about the love, forgiveness, and saving grace of Jesus Christ. She instilled the importance of prayer and a personal relationship with the Lord, leading by example through her words and actions. Her life was a living testimony of faith, compassion, and service, and for the spiritual legacy she leaves behind, her family is forever grateful.
Solly is preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Dwight Groce; father, Herminio Moselina; mother, Fuljencia Moselina; brothers, Leopoldo Moselina and Zaldy Moselina; son, Eric Dwight Groce; great granddaughters, Addyson and Allison Peacock.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nicole Peacock and husband, Jimmy; son, Shane Groce and girlfriend, Amy Crabtree; grandchildren, Devin Peacock and wife, Shadow, Will Groce, Tyler Groce, Nikki Groce, Dalen Peacock, Ethan Groce, Leiland Groce, Hannah Cofield, Kathy Ha, Rhianna Groce, Daisy Groce, Leah Peacock, and J.J. Crabtree; great grandchildren, Theia Peacock, Iliana Peacock, Everly Peacock, Kayliana Butler, and Noah Aguilera; siblings, Merlita Merin, Lydia Valdez, Jimmy Moselina, Soriano Moselina, and George Moselina along with many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 pm, Monday, January 5, 2026, at Heritage Funeral Home, Panama City. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel at 6:00 pm with Rev. Michael Cromer officiating. Mrs. Groce will be laid to rest, 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.
