Solomon Todd Boyd Jr., a devoted licensed electrician, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, was born in Dallas on August 15, 1961. He departed this world on September 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy defined by kindness and honor. Solomon’s journey was one filled with faith, family, and an unwavering spirit of service that touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know him.

As a proud U.S. Army veteran, Solomon answered the call of duty with bravery and dedication. His commitment to his country was a reflection of his character – honorable, selfless, and inspiring. He continued to carry those values into his work as an electrician, where his skills positively impacted many lives throughout his community.

A high school graduate, Solomon was not only known for his professional prowess but also for his passion for enjoying life. He found joy in simple pleasures: cheering for the Dallas Cowboys during their games and spending time fishing. These hobbies brought him an immense sense of happiness and were often shared with the family and friends he cherished.

The warmth of Solomon’s kind spirit resonated with everyone who crossed his path. Known for his gentle nature and infectious smile, he was loved dearly by his siblings, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives. They will forever remember him not just as a family member but as a true hero who made them feel cherished and supported.

His proudest accomplishments—serving his country and being part of such a loving family—speak to the values he carried throughout his life. Solomon's absence will be profoundly felt, but his memory will endure in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him in return.

Friends and family will gather to honor his life in a series of services that reflect the love and respect held for him. A viewing will take place on September 19, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A Funeral Service will follow on September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Lancaster, Texas. Solomon will be laid to rest in a burial service at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on September 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

As we say farewell to Solomon Todd Boyd Jr., we celebrate a life well-lived—a life that, through its compassion and dedication, has left an indelible mark on our hearts. May he find peace in eternity while his spirit continues to guide and inspire those he left behind.
