It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Solomon Daniel Murrey, who left us on April 9, 2025, in Springfield, TN, at the age of 46. Born on April 7, 1979, in Nashville, TN, Solomon was a talented cabinet maker whose skilled hands transformed wood into beautiful creations. He dedicated many years to his craft, leaving a lasting impression on those who had the privilege to witness his artistry.
Solomon is remembered for his jovial spirit and an unwavering love for his family. He cherished spending time with his children, Preston Daniel Murrey, Allyssa Rose Murrey, and Sadie Alisabeth Murrey, who were his proudest accomplishments. His laughter could light up a room, and his caring nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Solomon’s fond memories include the time he built a life-sized catapult in the backyard, launching cinder blocks into the sky—an adventure that showcased not just his creativity but also the playful spirit he embodied throughout his life.
A graduate of Hunters Lane High School, Solomon's education laid the groundwork for his successful career. His commitment to family was evident in everything he did, and he made sure that those around him felt cherished and valued. Solomon's hobbies included woodworking and creating treasured memories with his kids, activities that reflected his nurturing personality.
He is survived by his loving father, William Murrey; his siblings, Joshua & Erin Murrey, Michael Murrey, and Sara Murrey; as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will surely carry on the warmth and humor he brought into their lives. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Murrey.
Visitation will be held on April 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 4005 Memorial Blvd, Springfield, TN 37172. The burial will take placeat 2:00 PM, concluding at 2:30 PM at the same location.
Solomon Daniel Murrey will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his kindness, creativity, and the joy he brought to his family and friends.
