Sonia Ramos Pina

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sonia Ramos Pina, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, and dear friend to many. Sonia, who brightened every room with her radiant spirit and infectious laughter, left us peacefully on June 21, 2025, aged 50.
Born the third of five children, Sonia was deeply rooted in family values and revered the bonds she shared with countless people on this earth. She held a particular passion for the development of her community, effortlessly bringing together friends, family, and even strangers using the power of worship, food, and music. Most recently, as a faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, she became a pillar among her community and was known to many as someone to call if you needed help. If you were lucky enough to have known Sonia Ramos, she made sure you knew she would give you the shirt off her back if you were in need. In Colorado, as a member of the Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Sonia helped to establish the first Spanish speaking mass service in the area. Sonia would then encourage members of her community to gather each week, as she knew consistent gatherings were essential to spreading love and happiness to those around her. Whether it was in her birthplace of Mexico, Colorado, or Texas, Sonia's legacy will reflect how she poured every drop of her soul into her communities.
Sonia will be lovingly remembered by her husband of twenty-eight years, Victorio Arriola Sanchez and their children, Ana, Victoria, Victor, Christian, Mateo; siblings, Agustin, Francisco, Luis, Ana Maria; mother, Rufina Pina, whose lives she filled with love and laughter.
In honor of her life and legacy, a public viewing will be held at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home on June 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM. A Mass will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Church on June 27, 2025, at 11:30 AM, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her remarkable life. A graveside service at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens will take place on June 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
To all of those who loved Sonia Ramos: She will be dearly missed, but her spirit and soul will live on inside our hearts. May you feel her drive to be selfless and giving. May you honor her by fostering your own community. Finally, may you continue to feel her love flowing through your veins.
