Mr. Roberts died Thursday, September 25, 2025, at home with his wife by his side. Mr. Roberts had been ill with heart and diabetic problems. He was on hospice. He was born in Dallas, Texas on July 7, 1941 he was 84 years old. He served 4 years in the Air Force. He retired from the Dallas Police Department where he was an employee for 24 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Roberts Sr. and Bette Sims Roberts, his son William T. Roberts, his brother George W. Roberts Jr., his sisters 0la Mae Cooper, Emma Lee Curtis and Betty Jean Rackley. Survivors: He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 17 years of marriage Dee Dee Roberts, sons: David Paul Roberts II of Grand Prairie, Texas, John Roberts of McKinney, Texas, Kirk Roberts (Rosalva) of Grand Prairie, Texas. Brothers: Jerry Roberts (Robbie) of Willis Point, Texas and Ted Roberts of Pearland, Texas. He was blessed with two grandsons: Seth Roberts and Juan Carlos Aguire Roberts. Numerous relatives and friends. Mr. Roberts was chaplain for five District Chapters of the American Legion from 1993 to 1997. Mr. Roberts had a beautiful voice. He sang for the seniors at the senior citizen center in Arlington, Texas. He sang with different karaoke groups. Everyone always wanted him to sing. He had many friends and was well liked. He was a good dancer and loved to dance. His wife wishes to acknowledge with special thanks, Dr. Marc Chapman and his nurse Jennifer. Dr. Micheal and Mrs. Kelly Eifling Pathway Hospice and the staff assigned to Mr. Robert Doctor assistant Rachel Jackson from nexus wound care Pharmacist and tech at krogers Pharmacy on I-20, Ransey, Linda and sharon and the neighbors who brought groceries and meals.
