Leonard Roberts Obituary
Leonard Roberts, of Covivngton, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the age of 95.
He was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Bertha Roberts; brother, WL Roberts; sisters, Margaret Shannon and Bonnie Gunnels; and his wife of 55 years, Ann Norman Roberts.
As a young man he worked at Pratt Lumber and Porterdale Mills until he joined the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Hawaii after WW2 and part of the cleanup and rebuild of Pearl Harbor. He later became an electrician at several different Army Depots until retirement. Later in life, he worked at Ginn Motor Company as a driver. He was a very kindhearted and loving man who loved people and especially children. He was a special uncle and great-uncle, and a friend to many. He had a passion for outdoors, fishing, motorcycles and automobiles.
He passed away with the blessed assurance of eternal life with Jesus Christ.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Roberts will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home one hour prior to his service, from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.
