Thomas Richard Sexton, of Covington, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the age of 77. Mr. Sexton was a devoted family man with a passion for the outdoors and life’s simple joys. He cherished every moment spent fishing and deer hunting alongside his son and was a loyal fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves.
He loved traveling to Carrabelle, Florida, exploring the mountains, and spending weekends at flea markets in search of antiques and unique treasures. A true collector at heart, he especially enjoyed gathering walking sticks, each with its own story.
Mr. Sexton was a member of High Point Baptist Church for 30 years. He served as an Usher and greeter for the church and also served in the children's bus ministry alongside his father-in-law, James Tuggle for several years.
Above all, Mr. Sexton loved his family deeply and his wife of 29 years and treasured every moment with them. He also shared a special bond with his cherished cat, Honeybee.
His warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Hill; parents, Thomas and Barbara Sexton; and brother, Micahel Sexton.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Sexton; sons, Allan Sexton (Patti), Lee Millwood (Julie), Phil Millwood; grandchildren, Heather Townsend (Jonathon), Kimberly Scott, Adam Millwood (Brittany), Sandi Hamlin ( Jeff), Taylor Wiggins (Daniel); 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Cindy Fellows; several nieces and nephews; as well as adopted family, Jeff King (Abra) and their two children, Cassie Nelson (Jess) and Amber Barnes (Austin).
