Sonja Kolstad White, 89, of Dartmouth passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Gardiner Weston White.

Sonja was born in Milton, MA and a long-time resident of South Dartmouth. She was the daughter of the late Welding Kolstad and Thyra Kolstad. She was a graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School in Boston. She founded and ran Southcoast Office Support with her daughter for over 25 years, along with working for the Town of Dartmouth and in real estate for many years.

Sonja was a thoughtful and kind person who always remembered everyone's special days with a note or card. She was proud of her Norwegian heritage and loved baking her Norwegian cookies at Christmas time. She loved to swim at Anthony's Beach, knit, and play bridge and was an avid Red Sox Fan. She was happiest when spending time with her family on vacations and never missed a game, horseshow, graduation or special occasion.

Sonja was a long-time and very active member of the Congregational Church of South Dartmouth and a member of the Sons of Norway.

She is survived by her children, Christopher White and partner Jo-Ann Taylor, Robin Lake and husband Robert, and Andrew White and wife Jill; and her grandchildren, Todd Lake and wife Meredith, Sarah Lake and fiancé Michael Quinn, Derek Taylor, Lindsey Rafferty and husband Kevin, and Jackson White and wife Laura; and great-grandchildren, Weston and Quinn Lake, Brooke and Emerson Rafferty and Graham White.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Congregational Church of South Dartmouth, 17 Middle St., South Dartmouth on Saturday November 1, 2025 at 11 am.
