Sonya Carson Obituary
Sonya was the eldest of 5 children and was born on June 25,1966 in Morristown, NJ. She was educated in the Irvington, NJ school system. She lived much of her adult life in Florida and was employed by Disney and Walmart as an associate for several years.
Sonya attended Pentecostal church most of her life. At the time of her death, she was a member of Refuge Ministries in Edgewater, NJ.
Sonya was the devoted wife of Lonnie Carson, "LC" who preceded her in death on July 1, 2012.
Sonya leaves to cherish her precious memories, her mother, Annie Long; two children Derrick Long and Shavonna Potter; two grandsons: Justice and Carmelo Long; two sisters: Mia and Marcia Long; two brothers: Marcus and Michael Long; two nieces: Antionette and MiShawn Long; two great-nephews: Noah and Micah Wells; four aunts: Lillie Lewis, Mamie Kelly, Minnie Scott and Mary Brown; one uncle: Willie Long and a host of cousins, other relatives and sorrowful friends.
