Sonya Lee Copley Turner, age 78 of Milan, was born on September 11, 1946, in Obion to Gradie and Stella Copley. She departed Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was a factory worker and her passion in life was her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and helping those in need.

Sonya was preceded in death by her husband Bobby G. Turner and her parents Gradie and Stella Copley and two brothers Richard and Eddie Copley.

She is survived by her two sons Bobby Turner and Heath Turner (Christina) and a daughter Tanya Turner Kiser (Tim), grandchildren Jesse Turner, Trent Turner, Randy Turner (Jessica), Tabitha Kiser, Timmy Kiser, Jr., Matthew Turner and Ashley Woods and great grandchildren Kaci Turner, Sarah Turner, Rose Holland, Bryson Holland, Brantley Woods, Madelyn Turner, River Turner, Kolby Grimes and Kason Reynolds, two brothers Danis Copley and Darol Copley and a sister Maida Copley.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening, August 29, 2025, at Bodkin Funeral Home from 5 - 8 PM. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11 AM at the Oakgrove Cemetery near Milan.
