Soon Johnson Obituary
Soon was born in Seoul, Korea on November 28, 1941. She and her husband, James, were married on September 5th, 1963 and moved to the United States shortly afterward and moved to Newfane.
Although she worked first at the Lockport Felt Company and, later, the Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors, she is best remembered as the owner and proprietor of the Harbor Resort in Olcott, NY with her husband, James. Those who knew her will remember her tireless work ethic, the devotion and respect that she had for customers and employees, and her constant love and support for her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her mother, Sung Chae Bong, and brother, Young-Gwa "Sam" Kim. She is survived by her loving husband James, her son Brandon (Debbie), grandchildren Nathan and Leah, sister Soonya, sister-in-law Ae Kyong Kim, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 5pm-7pm, with a service immediately following at 7pm.
