Specialist Garrett Fredrick Hartmire

Specialist Garrett Fredrick Hartmire, 20, of Doylesburg, Pa, stationed at Fort Carson, CO, passed away December 10, 2025. He was born March 17, 2005, in Chambersburg, PA. He graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 2023. Garrett was saved at the age of 5 accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was deeply loved and admired by his family and friends. His kind heart, strength and spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Garrett was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Harris, great grandfather, Gary L. Peck, great grandfather, Paul H. Wolf and great grandmother Nancy J. Wolf. Surviving are his parents, Carl F. Hartmire, Jr. and Jessica (Saunders) Shifflett, his step father John Shifflett and his former stepfather, Jimmy Varner and brothers, Jesse Varner, Anthony Varner, Troy Harris and Kessler Harris. Additional survivors include his grandparents, Carl F. Hartmire Sr., Robert E. and Catherine A. Coons, Robert W. and Betty S. Myers and great grandmother, Katherine Peck. Garrett leaves behind many loving aunts and uncles including Rose M. Coons, Kelly A. Sandoval, Maegan S. and Matthew C. Snyder, Bobbie J. Myers, Gary R. Peck, Robert C. and Christina Myers and Jake M. and Sarah E. Myers. He was a proud cousin to Chanler M. Hartmire, Mataya M. Hartmire, Aurora A. Hartmire, Zaiden E. Snyder, Braylin G. Snyder, Evyanna G. Snyder and Avi Seth Myers along with many other cherished family members and friends.

Garrett's faith, love and memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him until the day all are reunited in God's eternal presence.

The funeral service for Garrett will be held after Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 27th at 11 AM in the Spring Run Bible Church, 20722 Hammond Road, Spring Run, PA, with Pastors Ryan Henderson and John Semple officiating.
