Spence Hughes Obituary
Spence is survived by her son, Ross H. Hughes (Melissa) and daughter, Genie H. Oplinger (Chris), grandchildren Neely M. Rossi (Cole), Jesse A. Matt, Hampton T. Hughes, Holden S. Hughes and her precious great grandson, Callahan Rossi and her very special friend, Vinny Slizewski, as well as several cousins and many friends who all loved her dearly.
Spence was a proud native of Greenville, SC and lived in Greenville her entire life, except when she attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She graduated from Greenville High School. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 24 years and then transferred her membership to Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church where she was a member since 1978. She was the hard-working administrative assistant to the plant manager, during her 25 year career at Cryovac, Simpsonville.

I am sorry to hear of Spence´s passing. I worked with her during my time at the SVL plant. She always had a smile to greet everyone and was always willing to assist. My sincere condolences to the family.

Spence always looked up and smiled when you entered the corner office. She was so kind and she offered helpful "advice" but never once said you were wrong. I know she is enjoying heaven with her sweetheart and with Jesus.
