Stacey Ashby Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home on Dec. 6, 2025.
Stacey Lynn (Bobbitt) Ashby, 56, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on November 21, 2025. Services will be Monday, December 8, 2025 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service 1 pm at new Covenant Baptist Church, 1190 S. 40th Street.

Stacey was born on October 3, 1969, to Jessie M. Bobbitt and James F. Bobbitt, whom she preceded in death. Stacey grew up surrounded by a large, loving family and carried that spirit with her throughout her life. A proud graduate of Fairdale High School, Stacey was known for her vibrant personality, her strength, and her unwavering ability to "make a way out of no way." She had an outspoken nature and a gift for making others laugh, even on the hardest days.

Stacey never hesitated to speak her mind-an enduring trait that those who loved her will remember fondly. Stacey's greatest joy came from her family. Shopping was one of Stacey's greatest joys and she treasured every moment spent spoiling her grandchildren.

Stacey is survived by her children, Kierra Ashby and Micheal Ashby Jr.; her grandchildren, Kendric Sublett, Mikeal Ashby, Cherish Sublett, Christian Sublett, Amir Ashby and Alora Ashby; and her siblings, Russell Bobbitt, Regina Bobbitt, Audraie Bobbitt, Ernest Bobbitt, Larry Bobbitt, and Issac Bobbitt. She is also remembered by her ex-husband and the father of her children, Micheal Ashby Sr.; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved deeply.

Stacey will be deeply missed for her humor, honesty, resilience, and the love she poured into everyone around her.
