Stacey Lee Gilbert of Arcadia, Utah, passed away on September 21, 2023. She was 57 years old.
Stacey was born in Granger, Utah, on July 21, 1966, to Vernon and Carol Larsen Blake.
She was a wonderful and vibrant person. Stacey never met a stranger and always told it like it was. She made a career out of tending to stray animals and people alike. She had a contagious smile and laugh that you couldn't help but love and return. She liked to make stunning quilts when she wasn't tending to her pets or drinking coffee while lending advice. She could frequently be heard saying, "One thing at a time, just stay calm, and everything will work out."
Stacey was the best mom anyone could have asked for. Her boys were her greatest joy, and she loved them more than anything. She made sure to tell them--and anyone else who would listen --just how much she loved them and how proud she was of them.
Stacey is survived by her children, Steven Gilbert and Casey Gilbert, Daughter-in-law, Lisa Gilbert; siblings, Audrey Braswell, Teri Brittin, and Todd Blake, and countless other "adopted" family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Carol.
