Stacey Vrame

Anastasia Vrame (“Stacey,” as she was known throughout her life) passed away peacefully. on August 7th in her home in Barrington Hills. Stacey was the beloved daughter of the late Gustav and Virginia Prodromos, loving sibling of older sister Althea, and younger brothers John (Debra) and Chadwick (Marilyn) and loving mother to her son Paul and his children. Born in Chicago, she grew up in Wilmette and graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka 1959 where her infectious personality and natural vivacity made her many friends. She was a close friend of the entertainer Ann-Margret and put on her cast party for her on her return to Chicago years later. She was also a member of the pom pom squad and an expert contest-winning “jitterbug” dancer. She attended college at Valparaiso University. She married the late Peter Vrame and found her true life’s calling shortly after her marriage in working tirelessly for the safety and protection of animals. She worked through many organizations but most notably through Aid to Animals. She stayed active in this work until her death. 

Visitation will be from 12pm until 2pm Sunday, August 11 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake Cook Road) Barrington. Interment will be at 11:30am Monday August 12 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
