Staci Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones Funeral Home - Jacksonville on Mar. 13, 2026.
Jacksonville – Staci Lee Davis, 43, of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed away on March 7, 2026. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Staci was born on May 26, 1982, in Columbia, Maryland to Marvin Cronk and Sandra Wade. Her father, Marvin, precedes her in death.

Staci lived a life that was full. Full of heart, full of purpose, and full of people she loved. She believed deeply in showing up for others and spent much of her life doing just that for her family, her friends, and the community she cared so much about.

Through her work with the New River YMCA in Jacksonville, Staci poured her energy into building programs and opportunities that helped children and families thrive. A fierce advocate for children, she worked tirelessly to ensure that every child had a place to learn, grow, and feel valued. Recognizing gaps in early childhood opportunities in the community, Staci helped create and grow a preschool program that opened doors for families and gave countless children a strong start. She believed deeply that investing in children could change the course of a life, and she worked every day to make that belief a reality.

Staci had a remarkable way of turning ideas into action and bringing people together around a shared purpose. Whether she was planning a community event, supporting families through difficult seasons, or organizing efforts to make sure neighbors had food on the table, Staci believed that small acts of kindness could create ripples that spread far beyond what we can see.

But above all else, Staci was a devoted and proud mother. Her children were the center of her world and her greatest joy. She loved cheering them on, creating adventures together, and building a life filled with laughter, memories, and unconditional love.

Outside of her work and family life, Staci loved to read and to travel. She was always planning the next adventure, dreaming about new places to explore and experiences to share with the people she loved. This summer alone, she had several trips mapped out and was excited for the memories they would bring. Staci believed in living fully in the moment, finding joy in everyday experiences, and making time for the people and places that filled her heart.

Staci had a gift for connection. She could turn a simple gathering into a celebration, and make people feel seen and valued. Her energy, creativity, and big heart left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.

Staci believed in people. She believed in community. And she believed that when we take care of one another, incredible things can happen.

She is survived by her children, Ethan McDonald and Kasyn Davis and stepchildren Brandyn Davis and Alyssa Davis; mother, Sandra Wade (Peter Schoen); and a large circle of family and friends that loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.
