In loving Memory of Stacie Parker
Mrs. Stacie Burks Parker, aged 65, passed away peacefully on July 8th, 2024. She was born January 2, 1959, at Womack Valley Hospital in Fort Liberty, North Carolina to the proud parents of the late Arthur Burks Sr. and Bessie Mae Ray Burks. She was a proud member of the class of 1977 from E. E. Smith Senior High School where she played the clarinet in the Marching Band and was a member of the softball team. She went on to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Fayetteville State University where she was named a ping pong Champion.
Stacie was introduced to and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Parks Chapel Freewill Baptist Church at an early age. For many years she served in the capacity of the Sunday School Secretary. In 1979 she met and married Tony Parker where she had to opportunity to travel the world as a military spouse. She taught elementary school overseas in Italy. Stacie dedicated many years of her life working as a Manager for Subway where she was known for her kindness and vibrant personality. Her interior decorating skills were a hidden talent and she thrived in sharing her knowledge with others. Full of life and love, she brought joy to everyone around her.
In 2022, she relocated back to Fayetteville to care for her mother. During that time, she attended Kingdom Impact Global Ministries under the leadership of Apostle William T and co-pastor Glendora Ford Sr. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
