SANTANA, Stacie Lynn - age 52, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Rogers City, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on August 15, 2025 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan with Benjamen Evers officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the funeral home and from 12:00 PM Friday until the time of the service. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in Stacie's memory to the Rogel Cancer Center - University of Michigan Health, 1500 East Medical Center Drive, CCGC 6-303, Ann Arbor, MI 48109 (www.rogelcancercenter.org) or Gift of Life Michigan, 3861 Research Park Drive, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108 (www.giftoflifemichigan.org).
Stacie was born on May 17, 1973 in Petoskey, Michigan to David and Nancy (Simpson) Fuhrman. She graduated from Rogers City High School and before starting a family of her own, she worked in various nursing homes and private care as a Certified Nurse’s Aide. After her children were grown, Stacie rejoined the workforce as a waitress and bartender at Aubree's in Grand Blanc. Stacie was a devoted mother to her five children, who were her greatest joy and lifelong pride. Her love and guidance shaped their lives and gave them strength. Beyond her own family, Stacie became a “bonus mom” to many. She welcomed friends, neighbors, and anyone in need with warmth and acceptance. She made space for everyone, accepting people exactly as they were, and offering them comfort, laughter, and a sense of belonging. Her open heart, compassion, and generosity touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of love that will be remembered always. Additionally, Stacie was a Girl Scout Leader, Cheer Coach and President of the Homeowner's Association.
Surviving is her beloved husband of 28 years, Jason. Children, Miquela Santana; Jared Santana; MacKenzie (Jacob) Smith; Sidney Santana; Jase Santana: all of Grand Blanc. Father and step-mother, David Fuhrman and Mary Vincent of Rogers City. Mother-in-law, Dolores Santana of Grand Blanc. Siblings, Vicki (Rajabhau) Chhapamohan of Hillman and Kristy (Billy) Summers of Posen. Stacie was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Fuhrman; father-in-law, Octavio Santana; several aunts, uncles and her grandparents.
