At 47 years old, Stacy Opal Moore slept away peacefully into eternal rest , December 11, 2024 in Florence County. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica , the eighth child of ten children born to the late Keith Moore and Gloria Mclean on July 6, 1977.

At an early age she joined Grace Missionary Church in Jamaica along with her siblings and extended family. Stacy's relationship with family was strong.

She was educated in Jamaica at Shortwood Primary School and graduated from Trenchtown Comprehensive High School . Stacy's journey with education began as she graduated from Mico Teachers College in Jamaica, a Masters of Education from American College of Education, and one semester from completing the PHD Program with the American College of Education.

She was granted a teachers Program in SC , where she taught in Marion County School District (Palmetto Middle School), Lee County School District (Lee Central High School) and Darlington County Schools (Hartsville Middle School) until her demise.

Stacy was more than a mere teacher, she was like a mother to her students and was willing to go the extra mile to ensure their success academically. On many occasions, she would prepare meals for her students who were preparing for their external exit examinations in Jamaica (Holy Trinity High School), and invite them to an all day mathematics class free of charge.

Additionally she held in high esteem her work colleagues both from her time in Jamaica and also since being here in South Carolina. From time to time, she would invite them to her home for some social time away from work for food and fellowship, because she understood how much a teacher's job can challenge one emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Her life was centered around her family, especially her children, church (The Assembly) where she continued her Christian Walk and Education being her threshold of life.

Her sport of choice was Tennis where she was an instructor for many years. She believed in structure and keeping a strong family relationship regardless of the distance. She loved her family.

Survivors include the love of her life, two beautiful children, Cheyenne Campbell and Cina Campbell of the home; siblings, Trevor (Merry) Porter of Jamaica, John (Maisie) Whyte of Georgia, Cheryl Dawes of New Jersey, Christopher Mills of Jamaica, Peaches (Richard) Edite of Jamaica, Nicola (Kirk) Francis of Jamaica, Gretel (Narada) Wellington of Jamaica, Trisha Moore of England and Julian Moore of Jamaica; aunts and uncles; a host of nieces , nephews and friends.
