In Loving Memory of Stan Jeans

It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Stan Alan Jeans on December 15th, 2025.

Stan was born on October 31st, 1956 in Stockton, California to Frank and Carol Jeans. He spent his childhood in New Cuyama, California playing sports, which shaped his later love of basketball. He was able to attend several UCLA basketball and baseball games making him a life-long fan.

In middle school, Stan moved to Modesto, California where his love for sports continued as he played basketball for Davis High School in the seventies and was part of this legacy. While attending Davis High School, sixteen-year-old Stan met the love of his life, Lori LaNinfa at a Davis High School football game. Their love story began that night and they were together from that game forward. They were married on January 2, 1977 in Modesto, CA and built a beautiful life together. Stan went on to play basketball for Modesto Junior College and then attended CSU Stanislaus where he earned his Bachelor's Degree and teaching credential.

Stan and Lori eventually moved to Hilmar, CA where they raised their two wonderful children, Matthew and Candice. Stan was a loyal and proud man. He loved his community; especially the hundreds of young lives that he impacted in his over thirty year teaching career.

Later in life, Stan's biggest joy came from being Papi to his seven grandchildren. He loved watching them in any sport or performance, which they participated in. You could often find him in his garage woodworking various projects.

Stan's greatest accomplishment was his family and the life that he built with Lori. His legacy lives on through every round of golf, dance performance and football game that his grandchildren are part of, continuing his love for sports.

Stan is survived by his beloved wife, Lori, his son Matthew, daughter-in-law Katie, daughter Candice and his grandchildren: Lexi, Aiden, Nicholas, Allie, Alexa, Lukas, and Ezekiel; his sister Lynn, brother-in-law Kraig, sister-in-law Sandy and brother-in-law Bruce, and father-in-law, Bob LaNinfa and is preceded in death by mother-in law Jean La Ninfa, father Frank Jeans, and mother Carol Jeans.

Though we will deeply miss him, we find comfort in the jokes and laughter that he was always quick to give. We love you, Papi.
