Stanislaw Moryl

1950 - 2023

Stanislaw Moryl, 72, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of 47 years of Wanda (Kafara) Moryl, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 30, 2023, at his home. Born in Biskupice, Poland on December 4, 1950, son of Maria (Sobota) Moryl of Hartford and the late Wladyslaw Moryl, he was raised in Poland on his family's farm. Stanislaw attended an agricultural school in Poland and later worked full-time farming with his family after his parents moved to the United States. In 1989, he immigrated to the United States to be closer to his parents and siblings. Stanislaw worked at Capitol Cleaning in Hartford for a brief time before taking a position at Meriden Manufacturing, Inc as a machine operator where he had spent over 25 years of his career. In his spare time, he enjoyed being home with his family, working on projects around his house, and fishing with his brother. Most of all, Stanislaw liked to relax at home, watch old Westerns and the Polish news channels, and spend time with his family. A devout Catholic throughout his life, he was a parishioner of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church in Hartford for over 30 years. In addition to his wife and his mother, he leaves four children, Mariusz Moryl and Rafal Moryl both of Wethersfield, Chris J. Moryl of East Falmouth, MA, and Sylvia M. Sacalos and her husband Simion of Newington; four grandchildren, Jakub and Ania Moryl both of Manchester and Samantha and Simion Sacalos both of Newington; three siblings, Jadwiga Karas of Utica, NY, Jan Moryl and his wife Maria of Meriden, and Teresa Ruchwa and her husband Andrzej of Newington; and 10 nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a sister in 2019, Mother Maria Moryl, Superior General of the Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver. His family will receive friends on Thursday, February 2, 5-8 p.m., at the Waszkelewicz South Green Memorial Home, 43 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford. Family and friends may gather on Friday, February 3, 9:15 a.m., at the Waszkelewicz South Green Memorial Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at SS.
