I'll never forget him giving me his gloves during a pt test in Alaska. It was so cold my hands were hurting. There's no doubt his hands were freezing as well. I'm a trucker now, and every time I cross into Virginia. I think of him and cry. Until we meet again.
Its been awhile, but this is me.

To One of the Greatest Friends a man could ever have. I'm sorry it has taken so long for me to add a entry in this guest book. There is not a day that goes by were I do not miss you. I miss visiting you and Jill and the girls. You and Jill helped me get through a really dark time in my life after my first wife left me during our 2005 deployment. I will always enjoy the memories of late night college classes we went too and talks about how the world was headed. There was nothing I would have not done to help you out and you always returned the same help to me no matter the situation. You were the very deffinition of what a friend should be. I will remember you and your family as long as I live stan. I'm humbled by your service and friendship. I will always be proud of the fact that we served together and that I knew you. I meant what I said when I took you and Jill out to dinner right before you left in 2007 that you were the Best Friend's I had ever had and known. I hope to make you proud of me everyday in living out the rest of my life. I Love you Brother and miss you very much!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Stan was my husband, and my 3 girls father. He was and still is the most loving and caring man I have ever known. I was so lucky he chose me to be his wife. He was always there for me, know matter what, and in alot of ways he still is. The girls had the best father any kid could have. He loved us with all his heart, and did everything he could to give us a great life. We will Love and Miss Him everyday of our lives. This is not goodbye my love. Til we're together in heaven. I will always carry you in my Heart.

There are so many things I would love to say to you. You made me make a promise before you made your last trip to defend our country. You said with alot of joy in your voice on April 13, 2007 when your brother Jeff asked me to be his wife that we had to wait a year so you could be here to be his best man. I told you I would try. On Dec 20, 2008 when I became Mrs Jeffrey Reynolds it was so sad not to have you there in person by his side as his best man, but in his mind and heart you always will be. You were there in all of our minds and hearts. I understand what Jill meant when she told me that you Reynolds men love to stay in the garage! I am glad GOD gave Jill girls. They are beautiful. I miss you picking on me. The funny thing was when you did'nt beleive it when Jeff said he was getting married. Then you had to ask me if it were true. I will miss you. I thank GOD every day for the time that we had together here on earth but, I look forward to eternity in HEAVEN as a family.

Ummm where to begin?? There is so many things to say about Stan. First of all I want to thank Jill for allowing us to hang out and be friends, even though when we was together it seemed like trouble always found us. Stan was the type of person that could make anyone smile and laugh no matter how bad of a day you was having, he would start talking about the coal mines in West Virgina and you couldn't get him to shut up the rest of the day. He would get our old commander Major Manning who was from West Virgina also and you would do anything you could to get away from those two and there conversation. He had this vibe about him that was just amazing and would lift everyone's spirit. He would give you the shirt off his back or even the last cigarette in his pack. Then he would complain the rest of the day, Jill smoked all my cigarettes and leaves me with none. It was so funny to listen to him. He taught me so much about life and about being a great person. He showed me how you could go from nothing to having anything you want in life. He would never tell you No, if you asked to use his garage to work on your vehicle he would say ya Ill make Jill move her car out so we can do it. You would get a six pack of beer and you would work all night and laugh and have the best time ever and before you knew it, it was 3 in the morning. I would have to say though one of my best memories of Stan was swimming. If you really new Stan you know he couldn't swim or really wouldn't. It was July in Alaska and the water was still pretty cool but manageable and after who knows how long Jill and I finally got him talked into getting in the water and let me try to teach him to swim. He tried and tried and I laughed and laughed. I don't know how many times i dunked his head under the water to show him you wouldn't drown. It was so much fun that day. We laughed about that day forever, and ill never forget that day as long as I live.
Another one was Before they deployed with him Ken and me. I had a BBQ for them. Stan came over later that night cause Jill was sick, but when he got there everyone was gone. So Stan, Jess and myself sat around and drank a few beers. We kept calling Ken to come back but his wife wouldn't let him. Well Ken finally left his house and the three of us sat there and drank some beer and just hung out. The three of us were like three brothers that would do anything for each other. Stan we've been through alot together good and bad, but ill always look up to you, and thank you for being not only my brother in arms, but the best friend a man could ever have. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him and how great of a man he is. Stan you are my HERO. Ill never forget you Stan thank you for showing me how to be the man I am today. Jill, Katelyn, Kristian and Emily you guys will always be in my heart and prayers and my family. Girls you had the greatest dad ever and you guys should be very proud of him. If you guys ever need anything don't hesitate to ask and please keep in touch. I love you guys and Ill never forget you.
Thank you Stanley I hope one day i can be half the man and father you are.

I had the GREAT PRIVILAGE of knowing Stan since he first arrived in ALASKA in 2002. I deployed with him in 2005, for our first tour in Iraq. We spent a lot of time in his garage together, tinkering on each other’s vehicles. Right after we got back in 2005 I was having carburetor problems on my 1983 K5 Blazer. Stan told me to bring it over and he would help me. I bought all the parts we needed, and almost had it together two days before Christmas. When I was leaving that night, Stan told me “see you tomorrow to finish it up”. I turned around and looked at him, “Stan, spend the holidays with your family”. I went back on the 26th and finished putting my truck back together. He was such a good friend and person, he would help anyone that needed it.
I was Stan’s roommate in TQ, Iraq, 2007. I was so PROUD when Jill, his wife, requested me to be his escort. I received my itinerary, and was on my way to take my good friend back to his family. I just wish I would have got to met his mother, siblings, extended family, and friends under better circumstances.
You will be in my heart and thoughts forever Stan.
Jill, Katelyn, Kristan, and Emily, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will stay in touch with you all.

I had the great honor of organizing the bridge dedication for Stan that was held on Memorial Day this year. That was a beautiful warm day, and then the rain came. I felt Stan was looking over us, smiling and blushing as we unveiled the signs with his name on a bridge that brought him home. As this is now the week of the two year anniversary of his death, I remember Stan; at the Moose for family parties, at our house tagging along after our dads, and the final time I saw him at his dad's funeral. Stan grew up to be a wonderful man. He loved Jill and his girls with everything he had in him. He loved his family, his friends, and his country. He especially loved West Virginia. Jill, you work so hard to keep his memory alive. I only hope you and the girls feel we have aided you in that quest with now having a bridge named in Stan's honor. I think of him and you every time I cross that bridge. I remember the day we unveiled it and I pray your struggles become easier as time marches on. Stan is a hero, he is MY HERO as are all the men and women and their families of our Armed Services. Thank you, Jill, Kaitlyn, Kristan, and Emily, for your support and sacrifice over the years to a man who wanted to make a better life for those he loved. I love you all. You are always in my prayers.

We attended the Bridge dedication ceremony for Stanley, and it was very nice and touching. Our prayers will continue for all of Stan's family and friends. Staff Sgt. Stanley Reynolds is an American Hero. Although I did not know Stan, I do know that I live under the Freedom, protections and liberties that he has helped to preserve by the sacrafice of his life. Freedom is not Free and Sgt. Reynolds is proof of that. I have recieved no greater honor than the honor of being Master of Ceremonies at the Staff Sgt. Stanley Reynolds Bridge Dedication. To Sgt. Reynolds Family and Friends, thank you for giving me this opportunity. Thank you for helping me get to know what a wonderful human being Stanley Reynolds was. May God Bless each of you and May God contiue to Bless the United States of America.

Stanley was my nephew, but he was like one of my children. I always said he was half mine. I watched Stanley grow up using his crooked little smile and the twinkle in his eyes to get his way. He is one of my heroes, not because of his sacrifice for his country, but because he always went the extra step trying to help anyone that needed a hand. He would fork over his last dime for someone down on their luck especially children or his elders. When he joined the Army, he worked extra hard to be the best he could be and brought honor to our family. His wife Jill is another hero. She is continually trying to make sure that their three girls are taken care of and that they will never forget their Dad. Both Stan's and Jill's actions should be a reminder to all of us not to take our lives for granted and make each day count. I Love You Stan, Jill, Kaitlyn, Kristan, and Emily. Stay strong.

Stan was my friend, my childhood friend. He was a goofy, fun loving, easy going boy who grew into a very honorable and wonderful man, husband and father. Stan is missed by me and my family. His father is also very much missed by my family, especially my dad. I will forever remember Stan and his sacrifice for his family and his country. We all love and miss you Stan. I hope you are smiling down on us knowing we have achieved a physical reminder to everyone now about your life and your sacrifice. We will always be here for you, Jill, and the girls.

In Memory of Stanley ~ (Debra Estep)

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Stanley, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

Ok, I'm not sure what to say here. I am a mother and wife from the Chicagoland area. Today was the Illinois Freedom Run. We do it every year, a 60 mile tribute motorcycle ride to honor our fallen heroes. When you register you receive 'dog tags' that give you information for your 'ride hero'. At the end of the ride there is a tribute wall with the thousands of names of our fallen heroes. I had the honor of wearing Stanley Brian Reynolds' 'dog tags' today. When I got home I started researching him and here I am. I would really like to send this 'dog tag' and the pictures of his name on the wall to his wife and daughters, to add to their honor memories. If someone knows how to contact them, please tell her to get ahold of me. This was my 6th year on the ride, it is such an honor to be part of such a wonderful tribute, thank you, SSG Reynolds, my 4 kids thank you too. Sincerely, Tracey

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
