QUERIDOS AMIGOS Y HERMANOS,
CON MUY PROFUNDO PESAR CONOCIMOS LA NOTICIA DEL FALLECIMIENTO DE NUESTRO MUY QUERIDO AMIGO Y HERMANO, STANLEY COHEN.
PARA NUESTRA LOGIA, BNAI BRITH MAIMONEDES 1516 DE CUBA Y PARA LA COMUNIDAD JUDIA EN NUESTRO PAIS, DURANTE MUCHOS AÑOS FUE COMO UN PADRE, IDEÓ Y PUSO EN PRÁCTICA UNO DE LAS PROYECTOS MÁS GRANDES E IMPORTANTES PARA NOSOTROS: "EL PROYECTO TZEDAKA", ADEMÁS DE HACER INNUMERABLES ACTOS DE BONDAD HACIA NOSOTROS E INCLUSO PARA PERSONAS QUE NO ERAN MIEMBROS DE NUESTRA COMUNIDAD NI DE NUESTRA LOGIA.
LA MUERTE ES PARTE DE LA VIDA Y TENEMOS QUE ACPETARLA, PERO RESULTA DIFÍCIL PENSAR QUE UN HOMBRE CON UN CORAZÓN TAN GRANDE, LLENO DE BUENA FE Y AMOR SE NOS HAYA IDO.
NOSOTROS NUNCA PODREMOS OLVIDAR A STANLEY COHEN Y SIEMPRE ESTARÁ VIVO EN NUESTROS CORAZONES, SOLO DESEAMOS QUE DESCANSE EN PAZ, TAL Y COMO SE MERECE Y QUE SU RECUERDO NOS ACOMPAÑE EN NUESTRAS VIDAS, QUE SIGAMOS SU EJEMPLO Y QUE CADA MIEMBRO DE LA LOGIA BNAI BRITH MAIMONEDES 1516 DE CUBA Y DE LA COMUNIDAD JUDIA EN NUESTRO PAIS LO LLEVE SIEMPRE EN SU RECUERDO COMO EL GRAN HOMBRE, AMIGO Y HERMANO QUE FUE.
QUE DIOS LO BENDIGA Y LO TENGA EN LA GLORIA QUE SE HA GANADO.
LOGIA BNAI BRITH MAIMONEDES 1516 DE CUBA Y FEDERACIÓN DE COMUNIDADES JUDÍAS DE CUBA.
Dear Friends and Brothers,
It is with very deep sorrow that we learn of the passing of our dear friend and brother, Stanley Cohen.
For our Lodge, B'nai B'rith Maimonides Lodge 1516 of Cuba, and for the Jewish community in our country, for many years he was like a father, developing and putting into practice one of the largest and most important projects for us: the Tzedakah Project, in addition to making innumerable acts of kindness towards us and even for those who were neither members of our community nor our Lodge.
Death is a part of life and we must accept it, but it is difficult to think that a man with such a large heart, full of good faith and love, has left us.
We will never be able to forget Stanley Cohen and he will forever live in our hearts. We only wish that he rest in peace, as he deserves, and that his memory lives through us, that we follow his example, and that each member of the B'nai B'rith Maimonides Lodge 1516 of Cuba and the Jewish community in our country always carries him in their memory as the great man, friend and brother that he was.
May God bless him and keep him.
LOGIA B'NAI B'RITH MAIMONEDES 1516 OF CUBA AND FEDERATION OF JEWISH COMMUNITIES OF CUBA.

I greatly regret that I learned of Stan's passing too late to go to his service. I was an old friend & part-time employee at Art Cohen
Company. He is credited with helping me to find a job in Pittsburgh with former Gimbels Dept Store. I will truly miss his kindness, generosity & sense of humor!

Dear members of the Cohen Family,
I was saddened to learn this news. Stanley and I never met, yet he helped to enable my projects (2001-) which benefited Jews of Cuba by helping them to more joyously embrace their roots, rights & rituals. May his memory be for a blessing. This world needs more mensch's like him!
with deep affection,

I worked closely with Stanley while working with the B'nai B'rith Cuban Jewish Relief Project. I have never met a man so wonderful as Stanley in giving to another community. May his memory be a blessing.
