Stanley Ray Erwin, 62 of Christy Creek Road, Morehead passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at his home as a result of a house fire. He was born October 25, 1961, in Grayson, Kentucky to the late Tommie Erwin and Betty Jane Mauk Hall.
Stanley had worked for several businesses and individuals as a handyman. He enjoyed listening to music, tinkering with small engines, fishing, hunting and was an avid coin collector. He never met a stranger and was always giving and helping people. Stanley was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Ann Erwin, niece, Jennifer Skaggs and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his wife Norabelle Byerly Erwin. Two sons, Willliam Ray Erwin and Stanley Howard Erwin. Two sisters, Melissa Anderson and Paula (Larry) Skaggs. One brother, Joe Smith. Also, a very special Uncle and Aunt Frank and Donna Mauk, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Rob Kidd officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday.
Pall bearers will be Gavin Walling, Ray Douglas, Joe Abrams, Dennis Skaggs, Larry Skaggs and Landon Messer.
