Stanley G. Eskow, of Liberty Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2026. He was 71 years old.
Born on August 5, 1954, in Newton, New Jersey, Stanley was the son of the late Andrew and Josephine Eskow (née Zukoski). He spent many years working as a maintenance technician for the Jefferson Township School District, where he was known for his strong work ethic and ability to fix just about anything.
Stanley was truly a jack of all trades and an exceptional handyman. He took great pride in working with his hands and helping others whenever something needed repair. He was an avid hunter, tracker, and gardener and he loved to cook
He was always quick with a joke, a tall tale, or a funny story. Above all else he loved his kids more than anything.
His loved ones would describe him as a very kind, hardworking, and good man, with a hearty sense of humor, and a trickster's heart.
He is survived by his loving children, Steven VonGrimm and Jessica Eskow; his sisters, Gloria Eskow and Rose Eskow; and his brothers, Andy, Eugene, Joseph, and Raymond Eskow. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by other beloved family members.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, New Jersey 07840.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations to The Nature Conservancy (https://preserve.nature.org/page/184811/donate) be made in Stanley's name.
Inurnment at Pequest Union Cemetery will be held privately.
