Stanley James Heiner, of Delta, entered into rest at his son's home on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the age of 99. He was the husband of the late Florence Nettie (Wright) Heiner who died on May 16, 1998.

He was born in Delta on September 5, 1925, to the late George Chester and Catherine (Ward) Heiner. He left high school to work at the Funkhouser Quarry in Delta and subsequently joined the Merchant Marines. In 1944, he enlisted in the Army, proudly serving in Germany during World War II in the armored branch. After completing his military service in September 1946, he returned to the Funkhouser Quarry before moving on to work at the pumping station in Bryansville. He then pursued a career in construction across various states and worked as a dynamite engineer for Power Line Construction. He retired from the Laborers' Union, where he served as a laborer. Stanley was an avid fisherman and Indian artifact collector.

Stanley leaves his sons, David Heiner and wife, Debbie of Delta, Richard Wright and wife, Linda of Delta, Michael Heiner and wife, Nancy of Airville, and his daughter, Glenda Little of New Park. He leaves his 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Stanley Heiner, Jr., Randy Heiner, and Dennis Heiner, daughter Betty Ann Marquis, his great-great granddaughter Hazle, and sister Nora Jane Wiley.

A viewing for Stanley will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, 962 Flintville Road, Delta, PA 17314, with Pastor Dennis McCleary officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with military honors offered by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements on behalf of Harkins Funeral Home.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice and Community Care of York and kindly asks for any contributions in Stanley's memory be sent to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601.
