Dr. Stanley Krugman, a Miami dentist, passed away in early January 2026 at the age of 91. A dedicated and passionate practitioner, Stanley devoted more than 60 years of his life to the practice of dentistry, serving generations of patients with integrity, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to care.
Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Stanley proudly attended the University of South Carolina and later earned his dental degree from Emory University School of Dentistry. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. The middle child of three, Stanley was born to Jack and Jean Krugman and always adored his loving sisters, the late Irene Rudnick and the late Dorothy Goldstein.
A wise person once said that the measure of a man is how well he takes care of his children, and in this regard, Stanley was royalty. He loved being a father, and family was always at the center of his life. Stanley is survived by his twin daughters, Karen (Gary) and Lauran (Geno); their mother, Jenny; extraordinary nieces and nephews; and many loyal friends and coworkers.
Stanley had a kind, unassuming nature and a tireless work ethic. He devoted his life to making a difference in the lives of his patients, always striving to be fair, honest, and compassionate. A blessing to many, he was the dentist you could always count on, famously giving patients his personal mobile phone number so they could reach him at any hour. His warmth, accessibility, and integrity helped him build a practice that served thousands over the decades. As a tribute to his remarkable life and legacy, Stanley would want you to remember one simple thing: always floss your teeth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Stanley’s honor to the Gamecock Guarantee or Carolina Cares Fund at the University of South Carolina (donate.sc.edu), to Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired (miamilighthouse.org/donate), to South Florida PBS (southfloridapbs.org/donate), or to a charity of one’s choice.
A private graveside family memorial was held in Aiken, South Carolina. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Aiken Chapel, is assisting the family.
211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken, SC 29801
