Stanley Lipnick Obituary

Stanley Lipnick, age 87 of Chicago, Il and Naples, FL passed away suddenly at his home on March 13th. He was born in Washington, DC on November 14, 1934. He graduated Wilson High School, and went on to graduate from Columbia University in New York and George Washington Law School in Washington, DC. He served as a Law Clerk at the US Court of Appeals (Washington DC), and then practiced law at the FTC, Ireland, Stapleton, Pryor and Holmes (Denver) and retired from Arnstein and Lehr (Chicago). A special joy was trying and winning a case before the US Supreme Court. He was a National Bridge Champion and an excellent poker player along with his great interest in photography, world events and politics. Most of all, his entire family depended on his sage advice and unending support for all our endeavors. Stanley was the son of Max and Cecilia Lipnick. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judith Berman Lipnick, his son Stuart, his wife Sheryl Lipnick, his daughter Laura Gail and her husband David Diamond and his grandchildren Maxwell, Benjamin, Zachary and Cecilia Diamond and Samantha and Steven Lipnick. Graveside service, Wednesday 3 PM at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W. Montrose, Norridge. Donations in his memory should be made to the charity of your choice. I was very saddened by the death of Mr. Lipnick. As his Legal Secretary at Arnstein & Lehr for several years, I loved that we kept in touch for 40 years. I was impressed at his perfection of photography and amazed by how much he loved his family. The last time I saw him was while I was still working downtown and I ran up to him and gave him a great big hug! Through the many years working as a legal secretary/paralegal, he has always remained my favorite attorney and considered him a friend. I was one of the lucky ones who got to know such a kind, smart and thoughtful person. He will certainly be missed by all who loved him.
