Stanley's Obituaries

Stanley Francis Lojko,86, of Newington passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025. Stanley was born in Poland on September 3, 1938 to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Hodyl) Lojko. In the early 50s Stanley’s family came to the United States and settled in Hartford Connecticut. Stanley met the love of his life Janice (Schinelli) Lojko and they were married in May 1960. Soon after they moved to their current residence in Newington, where they raised their children and enjoyed many events and their backyard. Before retiring 22 years ago, Stanley worked at Holo-Krome in West Hartford, Connecticut. Stanley loved to spend time with his wife Janice traveling to Disney World along with his kids and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan loving his New York Giants, Boston Red Sox and UConn women’s basketball. He was a devout Catholic and a member of the Holy Spirit church for over 50 years. Stanley loved all his grandkids and especially enjoyed going to all their events at school. Aside from his parents, Stanley was predeceased by his daughter, Beth Donovan and sisters Mary for Forbotka and Stella Grygorcewicz. Stanley is survived by his loving sons Jeff and Maria Lojko of Wethersfield Doug and Deb Lojko of Berlin his sisters Josephine Delenta, Anna Nowik, son-in-law, Jim Donovan, of Glastonbury. He is also survive by his grandchildren, Erika Zdru and husband, Jared, Alex Lojko and his wife, Laura, Daniel Lojko and his wife, Alyssa, Alyssa Caro and her husband Christian Nick Lojko and his wife, Brooke and Riley Donovan. Stanley also has two great grandchildren Ivy and Luca Stanley Caro. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 10 AM directly in Annunciation Parish, Church of the Holy Spirit,183 Church St., Newington, CT.
