Stanley Marks

Stanley Jerome Marks, 71, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, peacefully transitioned from this life on May 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedicated service to his community. He was born on September 6, 1953, to the late Geraldine Marks Narcisse and Willie Herbert Marks Sr.
Affectionately known as "Jerry," Stanley was a respected healthcare professional with a deep passion for working with adolescents. His career included serving as the Intensive Outpatient Clinical Director at New Beginnings at Lake Charles, LLC, and later as a Clinical Case Manager at the SWLA Center for Health Services; he also worked for Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. His unwavering commitment to his clients earned him the admiration of colleagues and the gratitude of many families whose lives he touched.
Stanley was preceded in death by several cherished loved ones, including his beloved mother, Geraldine Marks Narcisse; his father, Willie Herbert Marks Sr; stepfather, Correst "Pete" Narcisse; his brother, Carroll "Poodie" Narcisse; and his sister, Jaqueline "Dooga Do" Gilmore
He leaves behind a devoted family who will continue to carry his light: his former wife, Kandi Collins; two stepsons, David Bell and Jason Bell; his goddaughter, Elisia Smith; his three beloved brothers, Willie Marks, David Marks, and Craig Marks his loving sister, Martha Smith; an uncle, MacDonald James; an aunt, Delores Dorsey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Stanley's compassion, brilliance, and resilience live on in all who knew him. His was a life marked by service, strength, and enduring love.
