Stanley B. Matusik,73, of Richmond, died Monday February 10, 2025, surrounded by family in the preceding days.
He was born in St. Clair, Michigan on October 2, 1951, the son of Walter and Caroline Matusik.
He graduated from Armada High School class of 1970.
His marriage to Carrie Jo Mackley was June 8, 1973, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond. Stan worked for Ford Motor Company for almost three decades. He enjoyed traveling with Carrie Jo (especially to Paris) before her death in 2007, camping, spending time with his family at backyard BBQs and reminiscing about days gone past. He loved a good burger or steak. He also enjoyed farming, playing cards, gardening, his lawn tractors and yard work.
He is survived by his father-in-law, William Martindale; four children and spouses, Jennifer and Stephen Ingman Jr. of Richmond, Melissa and Roger Vargo Jr. of Port Huron Township, Kathryn and Dayne Edmondson of Richmond, and Kevin Matusik (Amber Allison) of Richmond; grandchildren, Stephen Ingman III, Allison (John) Ilowski, Angelina Ingman, Maverick (Shawna) Lamsa, Samuel Vargo, Dylan Vargo, Alivia Edmondson and Aiden Edmondson; great-grandchildren, Carter, Ivey, and Willow; siblings Rosemary (Rodger) Bruce, Paulene (Walter) Piontkowski, Karen (Robert) Bosman, Walter Matusik, Linda Collins (fiancé Ray Backers), Joseph (Michele) Matusik, Gary (Cindy) Matusik, Marie (Glen) Weidner; many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Stan was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Carrie Jo, parents, Walter and Caroline Matusik, brother, Michael Matusik, and mother-in-law Lillian Martindale.
The family honors the memory of Stanley and invites you to visit and share memories on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 17 at 10:30 a.m. with 9:30 a.m. visiting. Patricia Radacsy will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Richmond.
