Stanley Jackson Miller,
54, of Lavonia, Ga., passed
away Wednesday, Dec. 31,
2025.
Born Sept. 14, 1971, in
Gainesville, Ga., he was
the son of the late James
and Jackie Miller.
He attended Johnson
and West Hall high
schools. He was a United
States Marine. He was a
dual member of the Nancy
Hart Masonic Lodge 690
and the Bowersville Ma-
sonic Lodge 595. He be-
longed to the Trout Unlim-
ited Savannah Chapter
592. He loved his family,
hunting, trout fishing,
four-wheeling, traveling
and the Georgia Bulldogs.
He was formerly employed
by Quality Foods, having
worked in Sugar Hill,
Winder, Cornelia,
Hartwell, Toccoa and
Greer, SC. He was of the
Presbyterian faith and
was a member and elder of
the Lavonia Presbyterian
Church.
Survivors include his
wife of 22 years, Jamie Ko-
tal Miller; daughter, Av-
ery Miller; son, Eric
Miller; family dog, Copper;
sisters and brothers-in-
law, Debie Miller, and
Stanley Cooper. and Sonya
and Lee Best; sister-in-law,
Casie Maxey; brother-in-
law, Cory and Savannah
Kotal; father-in-law, Larry
and Rhonda Kotal; moth-
er-in-law, Sue and Rick
Smith; nieces and
nephews, Cliff Best, Justin
and Kimberly Best, Ashley
and Adam Cave, Kelsey
and TJ Mobley, Addison
Maxey, Ella Griffith,
Aleigha Stoyle, and Isaiah
Kotal; nine great-nieces
and great-nephews; aunts
and uncle; Mary Ann
Whiten, Sara and Ralph
Kellar, Cathy Miller, Jan-
ice Saine, and Mary Mor-
row; and numerous
cousins.
He was preceded in
death by grandparents,
Cliff and Sara Miller, and
Jack and Ruth Walker;
parents, James and Jackie
Miller; brother, Jimmy
Miller; aunts and uncles,
David Miller, Laura and
Joe Scott, Jane and Ken
Burns; Ronnie Whiten,
Robert Saine, and Jerry
Morrow.
The family received
friends at the mortuary
from 6-8 p.m. Saturday,
Jan. 3, 2026, and from 2-
2:45 p.m. Sunday, prior to
the service.
Funeral services were
held from the Chapel of
Whitlock Mortuary at 3
p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026
with the Rev. Jennifer
Horton officiating.
