Stanley Wayne Mitchell, age 52, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. He was born on October 14, 1972, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Doyle Wayne Mitchell and Shelia Kay (Sanders) Auten.
Stanley was a man of integrity, dedication, and kindness. He proudly served as Vice President of Commercial Ag at Farm Credit Mid-America, where he worked for more than 16 years. His leadership, work ethic, and passion for agriculture earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. He truly loved his work and the people he served.
On June 6, 1998, Stanley married the love of his life, Holly Renee Pfeffer, in Salem, Arkansas. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and purpose, raising two beautiful children. Family was the heart of Stanley’s world—he was a devoted husband, a proud father, a loving son and brother, and a loyal friend to many.
Stanley had a big heart and an adventurous spirit. He loved spending time outdoors, especially in the hills and on the family farm where he grew up. Whether fishing, hunting, or working with his hands, he found joy in simple things and valued hard work and honest living. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, his laughter, and the way he made everyone around him feel valued and cared for.
He is survived by his loving wife, Holly Mitchell of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his daughter, Lauren Noelle Mitchell of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his son, Hunter Wayne Mitchell of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his parents, Doyle Mitchell of Viola, Arkansas and Shelia and Frankie Auten of Salem, Arkansas; and his brother, Chad Mitchell of Newport, Arkansas.
