Stanley A. Reynolds Sr., age 72, a resident of
Philippi, WV., ended his journey on this earth on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at his residence, with his family by his side. He embraced life with a spirit that resonated with those around him, often finding joy in the simplest of moments. His journey was one of resilience and strength, characterized by a profound bond with his family, Mr. Reynolds was born on February 20, 1953, in
Parkersburg, WV., a cherished son to the late John Thomas Reynolds Sr., and Frone (Kennedy) Reynolds. Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gloria Jean Mayle, he is survived by his friend and companion, Edith McCartney who survives in Minerva OH. He leaves behind a son; Stanley A. Reynolds Jr., and companion Kaitlin Williams of Philippi, two daughters; Kimberly Peters, and her man Russell Grow of
Beckley, WV., and Iesha Martinez of
Canton, OH, grandchildren; N'shay Bennett, Celina Reynolds, Thomas Reynolds, and fiancé, Emily Wamsley, Dominck Reynolds, Darius Reynolds, Jaylssa Reynolds, Yana Jones, Tate Williams, Caylie Cox, and Bella Cox, great grandchildren; Lyric Murray, Asher Reynolds, Easton Reynolds, Ny'kel Bennett, Ryot White-Grow, and Radien Mayle, several nieces, nephews, and friends; including, Aaron Beverly, and best friends, Tommy Kennedy, and Alberta Haller. Several children called him "Pap." He was preceded in death by his grandson; Waylon Allen Grow. Stanley was the last surviving of his siblings and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Denver Kennedy, Roy Kennedy, and John Thomas Reynolds Jr., by his sisters; Eileen Flewellen, Ann Annette Mayle and lastly by one of his favorite siblings, Dora Reynolds. Stanley was a Christian by faith, he was a jack of all trades, including, carpentry, and roofing. He loved to fish and hunt; he loved to take his children or any child fishing or hunting for the first time he really enjoyed that. He and his sister Dora loved to drink coffee on the porch and watch people going by up on the ridge. He loved his children and grandchildren for infinity. A true gentleman, he was the kind of person that was always sweet, willing to help anyone who was in need, and a good role model for the young ones. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025, and again on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2pm until 8pm, and on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 9am until 11am at the Kittle Family Funeral Home, 265 Beech Ave., Philippi. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 11am., Evangelist Ezik S. Norris and the Rev. Ruston Seamen will officiate interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery, near Moatsville, where Stanley will be laid to rest by his wife Gloria.
