Stanley F. Schad III, died on Tuesday, July 15th at his home, the Schad family's home in Tully Valley. The "Valley" shaped Stan and all he loved in life. He spent countless hours, hunting, fishing, trapping and snowmobiling in the "Valley". The backyard was a favorite location for family gatherings, BBQs, playing horseshoes, targeting practicing, dressing wild game and raising his family. Stan, "Stan the man", "Timmy", "Big Chief", "Stosh", was a prideful man, one of self-determination and great physical strength. He possessed skills and standards unmatched today. He provided for his family through hard work and dedication serving over 26 years at the Onondaga County Highway department. He had a work ethic that is unsurpassed and each of us travel over several bridges in Onondaga County that bear his leadership and solid reliable construction.

Stan's greatest love and pride can be witnessed today in his sons Timothy and Steven Ray Schad. Despite his life being forever altered by cancer he persevered through pain, physical disability and maintained his sense of humor, work ethic impressive story telling ability and love for his family. What many may not know of Stan is that of his immense love and adoration for his parents and family. Although not always vocal about his emotions he would have traded anything to ensure his family's well-being and happiness. Stan will be re-united with his parents in Lacona; this and his return to the "Valley" for the last 9 years will bring him full circle and eternal peace.

Stan is survived by Tacy Jenkins, his two sons Timothy (Kelly) and Steven Ray (Jennifer), his sisters Tina (Rob), Toni (Raymond) and Tammi, his beloved grandchildren Levi, Maple and Meadow, his Uncle David and Aunt Diane along with several cousins, nieces and nephews and his faithful friend June.
