Stanley R. "Stan" Steffes

Stanley R. Steffes, age 84 of Appleton, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025. He was born August 27, 1941 to the late Richard E. and Marion Steffes and was married to Betsy Langdon on October 1, 1966.

Stan was a proud Air Force veteran, having served for four years, six months of which were in Vietnam. A retiree from the Appleton Street Department, his life as of late revolved around golf.

Stan is survived by his wife, Betsy; niece, Gina (Todd) Johnson and their son, Jake; and nephew, Lee (Vicki) Buelow and their daughter, Rachel. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law, Mary Langdon and Glady Steffes. Stan was preceded in death by his brother, Richard B. Steffes; brother-in-law, Roy Langdon; sister-in-law, Rosemary Buelow; and by his nephew, Matt Langdon.

Per Stan's request, no formal services will be held.

Stan's family would like to extend a warm thank you to all of his golf buddies, especially Tommy Anderson, Larry Ork, Paul Theil, Tim Crowe, and Stacey Gassner for their companionship, and to the ThedaCare nurses and CNAs of Cherry Meadows and Pine Creek for their outstanding care.
