Stanley D. Suitcha

Stanley D. Suichta, passed away peacefully on February 20,2026 with his family by his side.

Born on October 17,1945, Stan lived a full and devoted life centered around faith, family, country and the game he loved. Stan Accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, and he was a member of One Hope Church of Greeley. Stan loved his dog Pepper and cat Spook, the Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos.

Stan proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1965-1967 including service in Vietnam. After returning home, he built a strong work ethic that carried him through many years at Monfort of Colorado, operating his own concrete business and later dedicating 19 years of service to the City of Evans before retiring.

Family was the heart of Stan's life. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his daughter Lori Lewis, his brothers, Leroy and Bob Timus and his sisters, Mary Alice Wilman, and Pat O'Brien. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, his daughter Arlene Morrell and her husband Kent, his brother Larry O'Brien, grandchildren Brandon Nash (wife Hayley) Kyanne Sena (Husband Ryan), Braeden Morrell (wife Kyleigh), Shevelle Lloyd, and Seth Lloyd; and 10 great-grandchildren and many wonderful family member and members of his softball family and many friends.

Stan was an avid softball player whose passion for the sport defined much of his life. His talent and dedication earned him induction into the National Senior Softball Hallof Fame in 2018, the Colorado USSSA Hall of Fame in 2001, and the Scrap Iron Hall of Fame in 2008. He was named Scrap Iron MVP in 2007 and 2015, Softball Player World Championships MVP in 2013, selected to the All-American Team in 2007, and earned numerous MVP honors throughout the years. His love for the game, competitive spirit, and camaraderie with teammates left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of playing alongside him.

Stan lived life with strength, loyalty, and heart. He was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, respected veteran, dedicated worker and legendary teammate.

Life Celebration Service for Stan will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday March 4, 2026 at Adamson life Celebration home located at 2000 47th Avenue Greeley CO 80634
