Stanley F. "Jiggs" Swboni

Stanley F. Swboni also known as Jiggs or Pops, passed away Wednesday January 4, 2023 at Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Jiggs was born on April 4, 1935 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to the late George and Eva (Golosky) Swboni. He was very proud of his Oklahoma roots and liked to travel there each year to camp and fish. Jiggs spent the last 50+ years living in Streetsboro and was well known to be a man that never met a stranger. A quick trip to the gas station might turn into hours as he stopped to talk to folks and swing by a yard sale or two. Jiggs was a proud Army Veteran, signing up in 1957 and serving during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, Jiggs began working for General Motors Fisher Body in Euclid as an upholster until his retirement. Jiggs enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing with his family and friends as often as he could. Jiggs loved and always had dogs around him and will be missed by his current canine companions Peanut, Bootsy, Lily Mae and Biscuit. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Rose Swboni, six brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife P. Bridgett (Holton) Swboni whom he married June 4, 2011, his daughters Jacqueline McKenna, Sandy (Scott) Hershberger, his step daughter Traci (Colin) Earles and his son-in-law John McKenna. Pops was very close with and will be missed by his grandchildren Brittany (Cory), Andrew (Dana), Casey (Mitchell), Nikki (Kevin), Brenden (Meg), Colton, Rose, Sabryn, five great grandchildren, his niece Joanne (Lou). Calling hours will be 2-5 PM Sunday January 8, 2023 and Monday January 9, from 10:00 am until time of the 11:00 AM funeral services at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel. Jiggs was a special kind of cowboy-a true Okie from Muskogee, so the family asks that you join them in wearing any type of western wear to the services.
