Stanley Tackett Obituary
Stanley Tackett, age 71, passed away May 10, 2025 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born February 5, 1954, to the late Taulby and Leona Osborne Tackett. Stanley was the husband of Benita Johnson Tackett, a truck driver and a believer of the Baptist faith.
Besides his parents Stanley was preceded in death by two brothers, Timmy Tackett and Maryland Tackett.
Along with his wife he is survived by two sons, Stanley Darren (Dana) Tackett, Gary Stephen (Amanda Jo) Tackett, one brother Terry (Sheila) Tackett, three sisters Shirley (Herman) Davis, Michelle Tackett, Katrina Tackett, three grandchildren Stephen Marshall Tackett, Ava June Tackett, David Alexander Tackett and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday May 12, 2025 beginning at 6:00 PM at Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services we begin at 7:00 PM with Dorton General Baptist Church officiating. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 13, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow at the Johnson Family Cemetery at Sookey's Creek.
