Stanley Richard "Rick" Ward, born on May 30, 1952, in Marmaduke, Arkansas, passed away on October 24, 2025 at the age of 73 surrounded by his wife and daughters.
Rick found his greatest joy in life's simple treasures - peaceful days spent fishing, early mornings in the woods, and every moment shared with his family, especially his grandsons. His legacy lives on in those who knew him, loved him, and were shaped by his steady presence.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Joyce Earlene and Elmo Ward, and his father Billie McKay; sister, Cindy McKay; brothers, Wayne Ward and Eddie Ward; grandparents, Ilas and Inez Thomas, and Alvie and Mable McKay.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 51 years, Karen Ward; his children, Stacie (Andy) Landrum and Amber (Bobby) Farmer; grandchildren, Luke Landrum, Camden Farmer, and Benton Farmer; sisters, Wyona Clement and Vickie Hearring; a brother, Rodger McKay; and stepmother, Helen McKay.
Rick built a long and respected career in sales, working for Electro Battery, Royal Cup Coffee, and Snyder Wholesale. Even after retiring, he continued to stay active and connected with his community by working part-time for the Highway Department and O'Reilly Auto Parts - a testament to his strong work ethic and love of staying busy.
