Stefan Minkiewicz, 90, a longtime resident of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on November 29, 2022.
Stefan was blessed with a loving family. He is survived by Sophia Walaszczyk Minkiewicz, the love of his life and devoted wife of 65 years, his children, son Vito (Sandy), and daughter Basia (Robert Bona), along with five grandchildren, Christopher Minkiewicz, Sarah Minkiewicz, Bobby Bona, Ryan Bona, and Alexis Bona. He was predeceased by his cherished son, Krzysztof Minkiewicz, and his parents.
Stefan immigrated from Poland to Stamford, CT in 1959. He owned and operated the family business, Melfair Market, in Stamford until his retirement. After his retirement, his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his wife and family. As the rock of our family, he embraced all holidays, and especially loved when everyone could gather together to celebrate.
Stefan was an expert craftsman who loved working with his hands. He was very proud of the home he built for his family, and there wasn't a thing he couldn't fix.
He was a devoted parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Church until his death.
You will be dearly missed and your memory will be cherished in our hearts forever.

Family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation this evening, Friday, December 2nd from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford, CT. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 3rd, at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 325 Washington Blvd., Stamford, CT. His interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, in Darien, CT.
