Stella Abigail Goff, 72, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on March 10th, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Maxie Edward Goff and Ara Wilson Goff.
Stella was born on February 19, 1954, in Lynchburg, Va. A passionate crafter and an expert baker, Stella found joy in making cakes that brought smiles to everyone who had the pleasure of tasting them. She loved sharing her talents, and her hands were always busy creating something special--whether it was a homemade ornament, a thoughtful gift, or something beautiful for her own home. Though Stella had many talents, her greatest joy in life was being a Memaw, a role she cherished deeply and one that filled her heart with pride and love.
Stella is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Kinkle Goff. She is also survived by her sons, Gary Mays (Diana) and Christopher Mays (Krista); and her daughter Crystal Johnson (Kenny). She leaves behind her stepdaughters, Gail Orange, Loretta Turpin, June Burns, and Audrey Walker.
Stella is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Landen Mays, Chelsey Johnson, Kenzey Johnson, and Sadie Mays; along with sixteen step-grandchildren and nineteen step-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Stella is preceded in death by her son, Barry Mays and brother Mike Goff.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
