Stella L. Stanton

Stella Louise Stanton, 87, of Waymart passed away on Saturday morning, May 11, 2024 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Her beloved husband, Leland A. Stanton preceded her in death on June 26, 2023.

Born January 6, 1937 in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Orin and Nettie (Maines) Teeter.

Stella was a wonderful homemaker and baker who loved her family. She will always be remembered as the best Mom anyone could have. There was no other person in this world like her. She will be lovingly remembered by everyone who was blessed to have her in their lives.

She is also survived by her children: Charlene Miller of South Carolina, Donna Masker of Florida, Joseph Stanton of Vandling, Melaney Long of Arizona, Daniel Stanton of Carbondale, Carolyn Urban of Clifford, and Julie Thomas of Waymart; a sister, Laura Mullinnex of West Davenport, NY; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Stanton; and several sisters.

In accordance with her wishes, following cremation, graveside services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Private Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Park, Scott Township, PA with Pastor Sal Maiorana officiating.
