Stella Tutela Obituary
Born and raised in Newark, the daughter of Alex and Eugenia (Vorgas) Kontaxes, Stella graduated from Central High School. She moved to Springfield in 1958. She was a skilled seamstress and ran a business out of her home while she raised her three children. She continued working until she was 82. Stella was also a gourmet cook, avid gardener reader, world traveler and loved entertaining family and friends.. She had many friends that she traveled with and was adored by many.
Stella was the beloved wife of the late Robert Tutela. She was the loving mother of Angela Fautz, Robert Tutela and his late wife Cookie, and Linda Squires and husband W. Hartley. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Ashlie Fautz, Robert Fautz and his wife JoAnn, and Robert Tutela and his wife Jordyn, and great grandchildren, Francesco Fautz, Stevie Tutela and Presley Tutela. Donations in Stella's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
