Stella Hill Wilson, 91, of Savannah, GA passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, she was born February 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Raymond Hill and Mary Grant Hill.
Stella was raised in Savannah and graduated in 1951 from A.E. Beach High School. She retired from Pacific Telephone Company of Los Angeles, California. She was a member of Savannah First Seventh Day Adventist Church in Pooler, Georgia, where she greatly enjoyed worshiping her Lord and Savior.
Stella was a beautiful and classy lady, who provided everlasting love to her family and friends. She was strong and very selfless, with a heart of gold and an amazing sense of humor. Reading and traveling the globe were just two of her passions. She will forever be remembered for her absolute joy and love of life. We will miss receiving the beautiful cards and notes that she regularly sent to her friends and family.
Stella never met a stranger, as they quickly became true friends. Her bucket list still had several things that she didn't get around to completing, but two highlights that she DID complete were going skydiving on her 85th birthday and a hot air balloon ride in California.
She will be missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her loving husband, Leroy Wilson Jr,; children, Michelle Wilson, Michael Wilson (Myla) and Kevin Wilson; sister, Geneva Gaskins; grandchildren, Amber, Kristopher and Donovan; great grandson, Adeyinka; and her beloved dog, Sofie.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 10am at Savannah First Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Mike Kontes and Pastor Joseph Womack officiating. Burial will follow at Glennville Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Stella's honor to a charity close to your heart.
